Live Stock Market Updates - Nifty trades in red; Sun TV is up by 26.10%

The INDIA VIX is down 1.33% at 13.34. S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28,197.58 down 29.46 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,727 down 7.00 points. A total of 54 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 9 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

Telecom stocks are gaining grounds on bourses with major stocks in the index trading in green on the BSE. MTNL is up by 14.78%, RCom is up by 14.52% and Infratel is up by 3.87%. Infratel contributing 38% to the index gains.

Sun TV trading at record high, is up by 26.10%. Whereas, Vijaya Bank, Bank of Baroda, KEI Industries, NFL, Syntex Industries are all trading at their 52-W high.
  
Intraday Tips

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28,197.58 down 29.46 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,727 down 7.00 points. A total of 54 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 9 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.98% at 13352.12, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.87% at 13394.60.

Some buying activity is seen in Consumer Durable, IT and Telecom. Industrials, Auto and Basic Materials are showing weakness on BSE.

Infratel, Bank of Baroda, IndusInd Bank, Cipla, Idea and SBI are among the gainers, whereas BPCL, ICICI Bank, Eicher Motors and Infosys are losing sheen on NSE.

The INDIA VIX is down 1.33% at 13.34.
